越過黑暗裏混亂莽撞的人山人海，凰女王帶了我們來到飯店。裏頭的不斷電系統讓飯店仍維持著照明等電力系統。飯店大廳的人們因為有光已鎮靜不少雖然還有些驚慌未定。進了電梯，凰女王顫抖的手指頭按下了最上面的按鈕，我們來到最高的樓層。總管在電梯口迎接我們，而我看見早先到達的李國儀。我們沒有寒暄，沒有被邀請進房間，面面相覷。而總管馬上說了：「你們跟我來。」
隨著總管推開樓梯間的大門，我們走上飯店頂樓，才推開厚重的樓門，不知道為什麼被請來這裏，便聽見鳳女王的聲音。「你們來了。」
鳳女王身着赤焰艷紅華麗雕鳳刺凰的衣袍，站在樓頂高起的塔之上，整個人就站在月亮前面。沒有光害的黑暗城市，華袍反射著月光，繁星點點如羣臣。我們都忘了這座城市是看得到星空的。
「接下來即將發生的事情，李國儀你要怎麼紀錄拍照錄影印刷報導傳播，我都沒有意見。」鳳女王停頓而後手中出現物品。「牛皮紙袋裏是梁會秦你以前被調教的照片光碟。你們的隱私，你們自己決定。如果你覺得正義是將這一切公諸於世，就請自便。」鳳女王語畢，便將手中的牛皮紙袋往下拋。我跟李國儀煞紅了眼，伸手搶奪，扭打在地，而沒有人要出手相助或阻止，他們當起觀眾，看我們終將像野獸蠻橫搏鬥。

獨自站於高處的鳳女王仰望月球，凝視夜空，撥開雲穿透霧，直通大宇宙。「修二君，我覺得很幸福了。」鳳女王伸出手張開手掌，好像什麼墜落在她的掌心。是雨或眼淚。
凰女王忽然喊破了寂靜，劃開了時間間隙，懂了什麼似的：「姊姊，你不要做傻事啊！」
「我這一生已經很滿足了。夠了。」
鳳女王的夠了是指⋯⋯
我和李國儀停下鬥毆，趁著他注意鳳女王，我把他推倒，搶走牛皮紙袋，隱私是隱私，和正義無關，憑什麼要我犧牲隱私，踢爆鳳女王打擊織田壓制皇一集團成就雜誌銷售。
「我想要擁有決定自己生命的權力。我想要擁有改變未來的能力⋯⋯這時刻是決定未來的關鍵，是我僅有的預知能力⋯⋯我把自己當成獻給未來的祭品。」鳳女王此刻每個舉動都牽動著在場人的一顰一息。她說的話，每個字我都聽懂記得，字組成了句子卻有如外星語讓我不清不楚，讓我跟平凡的塵埃一般。
「凰凰，你會孕育出我們渴望的未來的！阿忠，凰凰就拜託你了⋯⋯」鳳女王俯瞰著總管：「幫助凰女王，她就是我了。」
鳳女王笑了，像是人們依賴著月亮般的容顏。
「生往死去，生往死去⋯⋯」風吹起，鳳女王的長髮如鳳凰展翅般翩翩起舞。「生往死去啊，凰凰！」
「生往死去，可以死裏求生的，姊姊。可以的！」
「我希望未來像我們這樣的人再也不用受到壓迫。自由自在地活著。」
鳳女王舞空，空氣都被帶走，遠處天与地交際一瞬閃光，爆炸猶如鳳凰覺醒昂首，揮動起覆蓋整座天際的羽翼。
她一躍，是鳳凰撲向死亡之火。
