今年坎城影展的競賽新片，法國導演 POLANSKI 以《穿著毛皮的維納斯》為題材改編劇本，片中為新戲試鏡的導演，試鏡找女主角，經過一整天的面試，抱怨候選人水平太差，沒有人能夠成為他的女主角。正當他準備離去時，“維納斯”出現了，劇場導演與女演員權力倒轉，以此題材探索愉虐SM世界……
故事場景鎖定在巴黎一家劇院內。導演托馬經過一天的面試，打電話抱怨沒有找到一個令他滿意的演員。正在這時，一名女子冒著風雨趕到劇場。雖然這個自稱旺達的女人粗野、輕浮，並不討托馬喜歡，但在她的百般糾纏下，托馬同意讓她試戲。沒想到，換上戲服的旺達倣佛變了個人，與角色完美融合，讓托馬深深著迷。對戲過程中，兩人開始互相誘惑、駕馭和征服，戲劇與生活的邊界漸漸模糊。
